Even with the most lenient criteria for casuistry, how does a citizen of a country that claims to be the beacon of today's civilization, that claims to be a follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ continue to shackle himself or herself with the vile bonds of racism? It makes no sense on a host of levels. Does it not turn a claim on 'civilized' on its head?

I watched this speech 3 times and it made me cry. EVERY TIME. Tears that sting hard - like I haven't felt in years. I haven't felt these tears in years. Sad and yet filling me with hope. Thank you - I needed to cry!!!
WOW!!! This is a message America needs to hear. I love this guy. My country is filled with the best people on the planet! We are not the ignorant hateful angry people that our current leaders show the world, Bush, Cheney, McCain, Palin et al.
