Internet sensation Kimbo Slice was served his first Elite XC/MMA loss Saturday night via a technical knockout from the hands of Seth Petruzelli. The referee stopped the fight after 14 seconds with Slice lying on his back and bleeding over his left eye. It’s a damn shame when the video is 35 times longer than the actual action. I don’t know what the loss says about Kimbo Slice. It could have just been a bad night, and he was caught off guard by Ken Shamrock getting scared injured at the last minute, or maybe he’s out of his league. We won’t know until after his next few fights. I hope this puts an end to the “MMA is better than boxing” talk. In boxing there would’ve been a count, and from there who knows how it goes? Maybe Kimbo clears his head and we’re treated to a Hagler-Hearns thriller. Instead, a guy gets punched in the face for a few seconds and the fight ends. XCiting.
