At the request of my mother, a new entry!Feel that bite in the air? That clean smell in the breeze? It’s AUTUMN here in North Carolina, which, as some of you may remember, is my favorite season. There’s just something thrilling about watching summer wane and feel the tender chill of winter creep up on us, isn’t there? When it starts to get chillier and thoughts turn to back-to-school shopping (oh, how I should have valued that more when it existed!), I start feeling nostalgic. This year, it’s been manifesting in an all-out adoration for a group I loved in high school, The Clarks. They’re a Pittsburgh band with a very pop/alt-rock sound and I can’t get enough of them, not because they’re fun (though they are) or because they’re popular (only in Western PA, it seems!), but because they feel like fresh notebooks and being seventeen—they feel like autumn to me.All you punkin-lovin’ autumnphiles out there, now’s the time to speak up! What do you love? It’s raining out today, but hey, at least it’s not humid!P.S. The season has also been making me rock out to some Robert Frost—oh, nature, I only love you when you’re filtered through poetry!Posted in things i love
