Today marks the 50th anniversary of the death of Pope Pius XII of happy memory.  I have a great devotion to Pius XII, and I could write much about him.  Soon I probably will... but tonight it's late and I'm going to bed.  But I leave you with this video of his funeral-- pretty impressive!  I thought it was interesting that the guards didn't let people linger in front of his body long-- I can tell you firsthand, nothing has changed!  They did the same to us when we paid our respects to John Paul II.  (I'm not sure about the dramatic music...
