Are conservatives jumping ship because they really think McCain has no shot? Or is this an ingenious plot to lull Obama supporters into complacency? Either way, it's funny to watch.
Nevermind the conservative Sarah Palin detractors (of which I have not catalogued enough); now there’s a wholesale disavowing of the entire McCain ticket (although, what do you want a bet, these guys–and of course, they are all guys in this video–will still vote for him). Jed Lewison has compiled a fine collection of naysayers here and, along [...]
The blame game continues. Here is what some of the conservatives feel about how McCain is running his campaign.Hey, this is a told you so moment for me. A good video from the Jed Report showing all the conservative pundits dismissing John McCain's campaign. The real danger here is a backlash among voters who don't want to be told who to vote for, or that the race is over. John McCain is picking up this theme today and running with it: Three weeks before Election Day, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Monday is unveiling what his aides call a more forceful new stump speech in which he portrays himself as a scrappy fighter on the comeback trail against an opponent who’s already “measuring the drapes” in the Oval Office. “The national media has written us off.,” McCain says in excerpts released by the campaign. “Senator Obama is measuring the drapes, and planning with Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid to raise taxes, increase spending, take away your right to vote by secret ballot in labor elections, and concede defeat in Iraq. But they forgot to let you decide. My friends, we’ve got them just where we want them.” However, I don't see how McCain can turn the tide with the economy the way it is. These kind of measures really work when voters are pretty undecided. You play on terrorism fears, the media elitism, etc. In a time of crisis, this stuff just seems petty. By the way, Pelosi has really got to go. She's terrible. How's that for insightful analysis.
Three weeks before the election, Republicans are growing increasingly concerned about John McCain's ability to mount a comeback, questioning his tactics and even his campaign's main thrust in a White House race increasingly focused on economic turmoil. Watch It:
