This is just another attempt of the right wing nuts defining how we as a people will be dictated to. It is beyond ironic that when Black people were slaves the right wing nuts had the same type of justification. When people were looking to get married interracially, this same method was used. What makes this even more disingenuous is how they are trying to use the black voters as that added punch that put the bill over the top. The Black votes accounted for a mere 10% of the entire vote that showed over 80+% of republicans said yes. The strategy was to put the vote on the ballot during a time when most people were in the midst of making history over the presidential election and would not take the time to read the bloated legal wording of proposition 8 to really make an informed decision. Different era, same strategy. Now we have a situation where there is protesting going on in several states. Rightly so. How dare the right wing nuts use this same old tired strategy again. Gays can not influence non-gays to do are become gay. The whole premise is ridiculous. I have a lot of gay friends for years and I still remain straight. Gay people having children do not warp children's minds. I am so sick of this bias, intolerance, bigotry and out right hatred being forever played out in America. Just like abortion I feel this is an issue that needs to be removed from the table of politics and should just be a fundamental right in a country that profess freedom in the land of the free. That being said let's take a moment to look at the push back those that supported proposition 8 are receiving (rightly so).In San Francisco and other states: more about "AC360: Tony Perkins vs Lisa Bloom on ...", posted with vodpodIn Chicago:James Dobson's Induction Into the Radio Hall of Fame Is Outrageous and OffensiveContact: Wayne Besen, Wbesen@truthwinsout.org.CHICAGO - Focus on the Family's James Dobson spent $800,000 on Proposition 8 to stop gay people form marrying in California.
