I too deeply love this song and first heard it on 89.9FM KMOJ, "The People's Station," "The Heart & Soul of the Twin Cities (Mpls. & St. Paul)."
"On the Ocean" has brought tears to my eyes a couple times in recent months. Reminds me of the Carl Thomas song, "Summer Rain," but the lyrics are distinct. This song makes me think of many things including love, dreams, opportunities for significant life change and the classic book, "The Prophet," by Khalil Gibran.
I too had to look this cut up online to learn how artists. The artist & Detroit native is named K'jon and y'all can find more info about him at his website: www.thisiskjon.com.
... a guy 'friend' i really like, and love one day i want to marry hopefuly (he does not know that thought) e-mailed me this song, what a beautiful song to hear and really reminded there is hope for everyone. I like one of the comments the lady said about God, about his beautiful creation;)
I first heard this song on 105.3 in New Jersey It touched my spirit in a very special way. For I'm a widow of almost three years and have been through a lot of hurt pain anguish dissapointsment and the rest that goes along with blended families and death. The words to this song has so many meanings knowing that God is in control of the Ocean and the water that it brings and my ship is here and I will board My troubles are over left in the ocean for my ship has passed all of the turbaless of the Ocean My Ship Has Come Back In
God Bless This Artist. Love
I really love this song. I first heard this song at a block club party I went to on the south side of Chicago and from that moment on I have played this song over and over again. This song has a message and I was thinking that I was in love with that person and he was not but this song lifts my spirit every time I hear it because I know that my ship is coming one day.
