I am so proud for you that you met a personal goal in spite of your physical limitations. Unfortunatly, our bodies do not always reflect our souls and inner strenghts. But a lot of us do see way beyond what our appearances are and realize that the beauty of each person is within us. I have been a nurse for over thirdy years and have met many with your determination and zest for life. I have always encouraged all my patients to use their inner strengths and the love of their families and friends to get better in order to continue with their lifes. I am a true beleiver that life is the greatest gift of all and what you make of it is up to you. I am also a golfer who believes that this game is very similar to life. The game teaches you confidence,vision,endurance,intensity,balance,patience,focus,honor,grace,relaxation,courage,intelligency,dignity,creativity, perserverance and lets not forgot humor.You are a true inspiration to human kind. You are truly my inspiration. Your story makes my story pale in comparison. I’m a survivor of the Pol Pot, Khmer Rouge, the most quoted figure who become synonymous with mass murder and genocide and is blamed for the deaths of as many as two million people (1975-1979). I was a marked man when Pol Pot declared his secret plan to purge urban class including children. During this frenzy purged, my time was numbered when Khmer Rouge started to torture and killed people of my back ground. “No gain to keep; no lost to kill,” Khmer Rouge described city dwelling as leaches and thugs, valued less than animal, their ways to kill without regret and remorse. There was no hope; dying and killing were around us; fears were every where; I slept awake at night wondering when I would be killed. Hiding my identity, I went stupid, reading right side down to past Khmer Rouge literacy test. As I cheated my own death, I was forced into slavery in forced labor camps for four years. Life was unbearable beyond the great suffering of the German Nazi. It was nothing short of hell on earth to say the lease. I have no clue how I survived the Khmer Rouge. All I know is that God exists even in remote place of Cambodia. God makes people like you to stand out; you have nothing to be a shame off. I have seen so much suffering my tear stops flowing a long time ago, but your story makes my fear flow a gain. You are truly “one man revolutionary”.
