When I was about…oh, I guess about 8 or 9, I stood in front of this man, backstage at the Municipal Auditorium during the Fan Fair “Reunion Show” and watched Merle Travis and Joe Maphis pick, as in up close, could reach out and touch them.I just hate that I didn’t really grasp what I was seeing with my own eyes.  Please observe closely…how many fingers Merle is picking with.
