Hurrah! Gladiators is back for a new series in January, but you’ll get a sneak peek of the six new gladiators, the new games, new ref John Coyle and new host Caroline ‘TMi’ Flack in the Christmas special going out on Sunday 28th December.Being the eager bunnies we are, we headed to top Gladiator resource Gladiators Zone to find out what’s going. And here’s what we learned in easily digestible bullet points!- There are five brand-new gladiators – Amazon, Doom, Goliath, Siren and Warrior. Two of the guys have very scary facial hair. The sixth ‘new’ gladiator is Cyclone, who popped up last season to cover for injured sourpuss Enigma.- Two gladiators have mysteriously vanished – Ice and Destroyer.- Inferno is still in the mix, despite rarely playing any games. Rumour has it this is because she can’t get wet owing to her flame-red hair…- Wolf’s back full-time as a mentor to the new Glads!- There are at least three games. Suspension Bridge is back (yey!), as is Pursuit (yawn!). There’s also brand-new game Rocketball, though is sounds rather like old-timer Catapult.- But as the studio is still the size of a postage stamp, there’s still no room for the likes of Atlastpheres or the mighty Pendulum.- The Elimator’s been improved and there are now TWO eiliminators! Hopefully, there won’t be a repeat of this incident…There you go. Roll on January for more muscle-bound mayhem!ShareThis
