I have to dis agree with Dahlia, mainly because of the examples you gave. For one all remixes are samples of some kind, otherwise they wouldnt be remixes. S.L.U. wasnt his song he just bought the rights to it after it was recorded. Same thing goes for Boyz remix.
like Jay said, "you made it a hot line,I made it a hot song"
Another Quality Jay-Z product. Enjoy the market, bulls get it over 920 would you or keep it quiet like this and my puts can evaporate slowly. more about "Jay-Z - Brooklyn Go Hard - ", posted with vodpod
Jay-Z was rocking 70's samples on the original Blueprint and American Gangster so what's the difference? I didn't hear anyone complaining about those artists being sampled. Samples are a part of hip hop and Jay did his thing on this track. Brooklyn we go hard!
ONE OF JAY-Z'S BEST SONGS, GOOD USE OF A SANTOGOLD SAMPLE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT JAY-Z SEEMS TO PIGGYBACK ON MANY ARTISTS AND USES SAMPLES AND REMIXES ON ALREADY EXISTING SONGS TOO MUCH. THE FIRST WAS AMY WINEHOUSE WITH THE REHAB REMIX THEN THE SWAGGA LIKE US WITH MIA THEN HE DID MIA'S SONG BOYZ AND NOW THIS...IF HE LIKES THESE ARTISTS HE SHOULD DO A REAL COLLABORATION INSTEAD OF USING SAMPLES
