Yea you lefty losers...except that people who are members of religions actually give to charity and give of their times and statistically have a good impact on society (people like Governor Huckabee). WHile gay fags like John Stewart have higher stats of everything bad and give a fraction of what religious people do to charity. If you want to know how to bring on your precious utopia...get rid of all the evil godless lefties!
“Semantics is cold comfort when it comes to humanity.” ~ Jon Stewart during an interview with former GOP presidential candidate Mike HuckabeeTivo troubles meant that I missed Mike Huckabee’s interview on same-sex marriage with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show. Stewart makes the “pick and choose” point and points out Huckabee’s equality hypocrisy. But in [...]
Religion is far more of a choice than homosexuality... Gay people don't choose to be gay. At what age did you choose not to be gay? -- Jon Stewart, interviewing Gov. Mike Huckabee on "The Daily Show"The passage of Prop 8 in California has catalyzed a national discussion of same-sex marriage. And Jon Stewart's discussion with Mike Huckabee -- a prominent social conservative and likely 2012 presidential candidate -- may become one of the more significant developments in the ongoing debate over the fundamental right to marriage.

The following clip exemplifies why Huckabee was the most frightening of Republican candidates this past election cycle. He's an incredibly politically savvy social conservative in that he's not turning around and trying to paint us as the hateful ones as so many others have been doing since the passage of Prop 8 and it's ensuing protests. I also applaud Jon Stewart for going toe to toe with him. The thing I love about Jon is that while his show is 95% political satire, you can always tell when he's passionate about a topic because all kidding goes out the window and he becomes just as tough an interviewer as anyone on the major 24hr news channels. May favorite line is when Jon turns Gov. Huckabee's own language back on him and says that religion is much more of a choice than homosexuality could ever be. Bravo Jon!Stewart says "Religion is far more of a choice than homosexuality. ..And the protections that we have for religion...we protect religion, and talk about a lifestyle choice, that is absolutely is a choice. I loved this. How dare Huckabee pretend that gay sexuality is a choice and religion is something much higher? Oh really? No, we have way too many religions and it is a choice. Just like bigotry. I agree with Jon, you can not trust the voters of one state. Huckabee lost because of the voters, so he should not be preaching from that pulpit (plus the fact that he represent the fringe without the obnoxious tag of being a racist.).If sexuality is a choice then when did Huckabee chose not to not to be gay? A question he did not answer I will note. This whole premise of pick and chose which part of the Bible to highlight opposition is stupid. What's up with I believe in Jesus but I plan to use the old testament to make my case? Jesus is all about the new testament. Not the old. Oh screw this...we are all equal. I am sick of the Bible thumpers for their reason why. For things like war, hate, division, anti-abortion, death penalty and so much more. I do not want to spend my life with other people I don't even know all making my decisions about my personal private life.I want to live my life appreciating my beliefs but not letting it get to the point I can not grow and learn how to love one another. more about "Courage Campaign | Repeal Prop 8: Tha...", posted with vodpod
