Take that Jon!
Time for a little bit of comedy. This way I can give myself some more time build up my righteous rage against politicians, of course. This was quite enjoyable. I like Alan Colmes but I feel he really is a token. more about "Daily Show, Hall And Oates Pay Tribut...", posted with vodpod
more about "Hall & Oates Pay Tribute to Alan Colm...", posted with vodpodFirst off, let me start by saying that I love Hall & Oates. "Sara Smiles", "Maneater", and my personal favorite:"Out of Touch". I've seen them perform at PNC Arts Center Summer Series two years ago, and it was awesome. I own their 2003 "Live In Concert" DVD, and watch it pretty frequently. Despite missing the first half of the 80s, and spending the second half crapping my diaper and spitting up on my mother, I feel like I could be an honorary 80s kid at heart. With that being said, I'm glad to see the resurgence of a credible sad old bastard groups like Daryl and John, putting aside their bi-weekly pinochle and platinum record polishing to school some of these kids on how it's done. It's refreshing to see that despite being irrelevant, they still maintain their 80s style amidst their facade.Bon Jovi, I hope you're taking notes.
Jon Stewart does a montage of some of the browbeating Alan Colmes has taken over the years. Rock legends Hall & Oates help Jon out by performing a song about Colmes and how much he means to all of us. more about "The Only Non-Douchebag Leaves Hannity...", posted with vodpod

Douchebag Calls the Kettle Black
Gee, where did Jon Stewart and Hall & Oates ever get the idea that Alan Colmes is the only non-douchebag in the Hannity and Colmes ensemble? Has Hannity looked in the mirror lately? Hall is 62. Oates is 59. They should be long in the tooth. They also sound great:

Anytime you need a token liberal
Nothin’ but a body to fill a chair
The barest shadow of a person
Alan Colmes is always there.
But all those years of non-existence
Can really run a person down.
Now he’s leaving Hannity forever
Alan, please don’t go!
You’re the only non-douchebag on that show
He’s gone. Bye bye,
Oh why
He was the Tango to his cash
And he’s gone.
Oh why
To the extent
That I hadn’t noticed he was there
But he’s gone.
Oh why
What went wrong?
He’s gone. Bye bye
Oh why?
He was the Laurel to his Hardy
He’s gone
To spend
More time
Not being seen with his family
He’s gone
What went wrong?
