Google has finally sent out holiday gifts to all Googlers worldwide this holiday season, and its not huge cash bonuses, but the much wanted G1 Android-powered Google Dream Phone!Its a version of the T-Mobile G1, which runs on the Google’s Android operating system. Android is the mobile operating system on the T-Mobile G1 which allows developers from around the world to create new and exciting applications that can easily be loaded onto the phone from the Android Market.Valleywag quotes a memo sent out to all Googlers, where Google says these are special edition G1 phones designed especially for Googlers with a ‘droid’ on the back. It is notable that these phones do not have SIM cards, and are unlocked so they can be used with the network provider of your choice and they’ll work immediately as WiFi devices!However due to legal issues, G1 Google phone has not been sent out to some countries like India, China, Brazil, Korea, Israel, Russia, Argentina, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mexico, Turkey, Kenya, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Egypt, Chile, and the Ukraine. Googlers in these countries will receive the cash equivalent of the phone in their December paychecks, which is about $400 USD. Gizmodo has more information about G1 usage policies submitted by an anonymous Googler which clearly states that Googlers are not allowed to resell any item given to them by Google, so dont lookout for these Google phones on ebay auctions.Now most Googlers will be proudly able to use the “Google Dream Phone” and challenge Apple iPhone and Nokia N96′s easily.
