I’ve seen a few people putting together lists of definitive Bush-era songs (with the implication being that we’re looking for songs that capture the spirit of the age rather than just good tunes), many of which include Arcade Fire’s “Intervention.” That wouldn’t even be my choice off Neon Bible. I’ll go with “Windowsill” I think this does a good job of capturing the sense of shame that a lot of people felt over the way the country’s good name was being dragged through the mud by an atrocious president.
