I don't write a lot of specific movie posts because, well, it's a blog about TV. But I'm taking the opportunity to write a post about a bunch of different things here. First, it's a Carrie Keegan post because I'm posting her NGTV interview with Rapaport, the star of this indie called Special that I think is more than likely ... special. I saw the trailer, I've read the press materials, and it looks like something I'd enjoy. Second, this is what it's about (IMBD):Les Franken (Michael Rapaport) leads a painfully unremarkable life as ametermaid until he enrolls in a drug study for an experimentalanti-depressant. An unexpected side effect of the drug convinces Les heis developing special powers and must quit his job to answer his newcalling in life... Superhero. A very select group of people in life aretruly gifted. Special is a movie about everyone else. Third, it's a post about IFC Films on Demand, which I have on Time Warner Cable and is also available on Comcast. This is the link to their webpage but right now there's an error message there. IFC Films on Demand has first-run art house films, films in the theatres right now, that you can watch on cable (for a fee, which seems to be around the cost of a ticket). So, you get Carrie (always smart and funny, always something for the straight guys to look at as well), you get Rapaport (who I love in anything he does) and you get info on a small film you might not have otherwise. It's all good, right?Clip after the jump.LINK
