Youtube has officially enabled High Quality in embedded videos. The new embedded player sports a little HQ button in the expandable menu, which is strangely absent from Youtube's on-site player. One can only assume that they decided they were ready for the blast of traffic that will certainly result from the huge amount of embedded high-quality videos to come. Doubtless the stream pipe has to be a lot fatter for the HQ videos, but advances in compression efficacy have ensured that doubling the image quality doesn't double the size of the video.

I was there!!!!!
At exactly 12 PM ET, as US President Barack Obama assumed office,  his official website Whitehouse.gov switched to a new design and the White House blog went live heralding a new change in leadership.Macon Phillips, the Director of New Media for the White House announced the new site changes and informed he will be  contributing to the blog articles. One of the first changes is the White House’s new website, which will serve as a place for the President and his administration to connect with the rest of the nation and the world. Millions of Americans have powered President Obama’s journey to the White House, many taking advantage of the internet to play a role in shaping our country’s future. WhiteHouse.gov is just the beginning of the new administration’s efforts to expand and deepen this online engagement.Subscribe to their blog RSS feed or sign up for e-mail updates from the President and his administration. The latest blog post has the complete text of his inuaguration addressDid you know you could follow Barack Obama on Twitter and Facebook also. In fact Obama follows us on Twitter! In fact Obama is very tech savvy and has used the power of the web so effectively in his campaign that it is not surprising that they found the “White House in the Technological Dark Ages“.Related articles White House Online Panoramic ToursBarack Obama Writes to 7-Year-Old Political Blogger StasBarack Obama Following Me on Twitter!Kyle MacDonald Trades One Red Paperclip for a HouseAre You The Youngest Blogger?Share your views: Post a Comment Copyright 2009.
