i'm still having the love affair with elizabeth gilbert. i love her ted talk on creativity. it's such an inspiration to just get out there and do it. there's always fear - fear you'll never be successful and fear if you have been that you will never be again. and the most important thing is that you just get out there and do it.
This is a fascinating talk by Eat, Pray, Love author Elizabeth Gilbert about creativity - where it comes from, what it means, how to recognise and nurture it.
When in the act of creation we have a task, but the result does not come from us. We facilitate it, but do not provide it. Emerson talked about this. Nietzsche talked about this. David James Duncan has talked about this. And now Elizabeth Gilbert. She gets it.
I have watched to this video by Elizabeth Gilbert (author of the fabulous Eat Pray Love!) several times - I love it! She has such a great take on where creativity or inspiration comes from - a perception that, for me at least, takes a lot of pressure off and allows to me to just do what I love to do without so many of the loud, critical voices shouting in my head! So, I invite you to enjoy this video and the short poem I wrote on the topic!
