MUMBAI, India (AP) — Indian police said Wednesday they have so far found no evidence that the father of a child star in the Oscar-winning film “Slumdog Millionaire” tried to sell the 9-year-old girl to an undercover reporter. Police opened an investigation following a complaint from Khurshid Begum, the estranged mother of “Slumdog Millionaire” star Rubina Ali, after News of the World reported the father planned to put her up for adoption. The British newspaper said the deal was allegedly offered to one of its reporters posing as a sheik from the Mideast. Officers said so far they found nothing to back the claim of the British tabloid that the father, Rafiq Qureshi, offered to give up Ali for adoption in exchange for some $400,000. “We have interrogated Rubina’s father at length and have not found any evidence against him indicating that he was trying to sell Rubina,” said senior police officer Nishar Tamboli. Attention, j’annonce la couleur: voici l’un de mes coups de cœurs de ces trois derniers mois: Slumdog Millionnaire réalisé par Danny Boyle qui s’est fait connaître grace à Trainspotting avec Ewan Mcgregor et Robert Carlyle. Voici le pitch:Jamal Malik, 18 ans, orphelin vivant dans les taudis de Mumbai, est sur le point de remporter la somme colossale de 20 millions de roupies lors de la version indienne de l’émission Qui veut gagner des millions ? Il n’est plus qu’à une question de la victoire lorsque la police l’arrête sur un soupçon de tricherie. Sommé de justifier ses bonnes réponses, Jamal explique d’où lui viennent ses connaissances et raconte sa vie dans la rue, ses histoires de famille et même celle de cette fille dont il est tombé amoureux et qu’il a perdue. Mais comment ce jeune homme est-il parvenu en finale d’une émission de télévision ? Et c’est la que le récit du film en devient passionnant car chaque question renvoit à une réponse enfouit dans les souvenirs du personnage principal, Jamal, souvenirs remplit de malchance mais qu’il l’a fait évolué.Ce film est passionnant aussi, par le fait que les personnages sont attachants et véhiculent de vraies valeurs humaines et le rapport entre le jeu “qui veut gagner des millions” bling bling et la vie du protagoniste sont vraiment différents mais se rejoignent grâce aux liens des personnages qui ont tous un attribut important. Tout ça sur un fond d’histoire d’amour qui ravira les plus romantiques d’entre nous.De plus, le style très particulier de Danny Boyle se mélange agréablement à la ville de Bombay qui fourmille de partout  et à un certain réalisme que l’on a pas l’habitude de voir  dans les films bollywoodiens certes très riche en couleurs et en musiques mais super niant niant aussi.Ah bah tiens, un petit trailer:

Доживях да видя хубав филм. В последно време добрите продукции са си рядкост (за мен поне) и наистина се зарадвах, като изгледах “Беднякът милионер“.
Невероятен филм, силен и много смислен. Да си кажа честно, за първи път не знам как да опиша филм. Просто трябва да го гледате.

Това е историята на двама братя -Джамал и Салим- и едно момиче- Латика. Живеят в бедния квартал на Бомбай, като семействата им са мюсюлмани.
