We have a new addition to our family. Here she is:





My daughter has been dying for a cat since she was two. I have only ever had dogs. I know nothing about cats, but she caught me on a good day and she found the right kitty. I was shocked when my husband agreed to let her get one because he is not an animal person at all, but especially not a cat person.

When we brought the kitten home my husband looked at me and told me that he thought he must have been drinking the day my daughter called to ask him if she could get the kitten because he couldn't believe that he would agree to this. I asked him if he really was and he said yes. I started laughing to myself and thought, "Well, that's what you get."

The kids named her Moxie. They had recently seen Night at the Museum 2 and in it Amelia Earhart kept telling Ben Stiller that he needed to get his moxie back. I looked it up and it has several meanings, but one is an adventurous spirit. I think it's a great name.

She is a sweet little kitten. She loves to play and when she is done she will curl up in our laps and fall asleep w
