The Governor also announced that the state will use aprovision in the legislation to increase state unemployment benefitsfor recipients by an extra $25 per week, and reaffirmed his acceptanceof the transportation funds included in the bill to fund shovel-readytransportation priorities in the state." According to the National Employment Law Project, via Think Progress, that funding would have provided additional aid to 24,981 residents of the state.
