In some odd way, this song captures a piece of my theology.
'Why did he write the song?,' I must ask, assuming he penned it. This is how I imagine it: the good Reverend Cleo was reading something that quoted nutritionists as saying breakfast was vitally important, but he was able to say, to himself and to us, that he knew about something more important than breakfast, and when we encounter this bigger reality (our Home, where God resides and to which God calls us), breakfast won't matter at all.
As much as I loved my mixed fruit, something in me got up and danced while watching this. All I could say was, "Amen."
No mo' beef steaks? No mo' pancakes? No mo' gravy? No mo' Cap'n Crunch? No mo' Nuts of Grapes?! You must be crazy! God is gonna come and when he does, we're all going to have breakfast together!
I periodically have to post some of the ridiculous videos I come across. This is really funny, it's one of those times where you have to think, "this has to be a joke." This was on purpose with the intent to be crazy. But I kinda think this man was serious. Then on top of that he has this tone deaf, nonchalant woman to sing the chorus with him. lol, Enjoy the laugh, its good for the soul.
