Dieser Traum würde unsere derzeitige Abhängigkeit von (schnell schrumpfenden) Ölvorräten - mit ihren extrem hohen Kosten an menschlichem Leben sowie an ökonomischer und die Umwelt betreffender Zerstörung - im Prinzip kurzschließen. Angesichts der gegenwärtigen industrialisierten Landwirtschaft, welche 10 Kalorien an fossilen Brennstoffen benötigt um eine einzige Kalorie in Form von Lebensmitteln zu erzeugen, sehe ich diesen Traum, wenn er sich nicht bald in eine Realität verwandelt, schnell zu einem Albtraum werden.Ich träume von einer Zeit in der die lokalen Gemeinschaften die Kontrolle über ihr eigenes Schicksal zurückgewinnen und zusammenarbeiten; nicht für die Quartalsprofite von gesichtslosen Aktionären mit der Einstellung Es-kümmert-mich-einen-Dreck-

Agri-Business has conspired against humanity,  organic farmers,  and back yard gardens in this bill!  Currently, most vegetables and fruits are genetically modified food or as I call it Monster Food.  What is their justification for making monster food when regular food fed people and was more nutritious?  Because these corporations make more MONEY by creating seed that produces more food and doesn’t fail to germinate and crops that don’t get eaten by bugs.  Think about that for a second: if bugs won’t eat that crap why would you? Food that bugs won’t eat is food I don’t want to eat!  Monsanto, and other agri-businesses are behind this bill. We can NOT allow this to happen to our childrens food!

There will no longer be ORGANIC food... they will be required to spray pesticides and insectisides on the "organic" food... hence, making it no longer organic
