First, sorry for the profanity in this video, but this interview (and the 2nd & 3rd parts) are very very worth viewing.
NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker of course was not happy with Jon Stewart, but Viacom Chief Executive Philippe Dauman defended him, saying "Jon Stewart's one of the few people on air who spoke to what people were thinking out there."
He's right, that is what I was thinking. It was also what I should have been thinking.

Is this online journalism? If it is, how much better than ninety-nine percent of journalism is this? If it isn't, why not?
And what does it mean that we go to a so-called "comedian" to get our journalism.

Here's the classic confrontation between Jon Stewart of the Daily Show and CNBC's Jim Cramer
I think Jon's point was very clear. CNBC, if their intention is to be a financial news network, should report the facts of how the system really works. Not just allow themselves to get spoonfed lies which they just pass along to the viewers.
Of course your post is just a criticism that offers no solutions either and I do enjoy that irony.
