I was browsing the web today and I stumble upon this. Amazing guy! He is an example that the sound of a violin fit any kind of musical style!
When I was young, I used to play only classical music. I’d never tried something different at that stage. It was when I met a few friends at university and we decide to start a band. We all came from different backgrounds. It was kind of a mixture of a diverse music world. Jazz, Rock’n Roll, Samba, Classical, Soul, you name it! It had everything there. My life changed and my approach towards the violin as well. Sudenlly I was improvising, manipulating sounds!
It was superb to see how free I was feeling towards the violin. My fingers playing in so many different positions, some of them I didn’t even knew witch note was. My friend on the guittar start improvising some and all the band followed him. In a few words… it was amazing!!!
This guy on the video made me remember that…
You can play from classical to rock. Anything you feel like it!!!
