Los Angeles California's Greenhouse Effect split in October of 1992 amid internal band strife and meltdown involving L.A's Bam Magazine,...but before they left us,...they went away leaving one of alternative rock's biggest hits in May 1992's "People (That won't back down)",...a song with nearly 50,000 plays on Youtube in 2008. Clark hagins says today that the masterpiece song really didn't mean all that much to him way back in the summer of 1992; "I liked the Ballad of Kurt Cobain much more" says Higgins,..today a swimming Pool cleaner in Carlsbad California "We wrote great songs and its a damn shame about G.e. ,..cause we were like the next Genesis,..we were a punk band live but in the studio ,..we were a sucky pop band that sounded like Phil Collins,..we coulda' made millions,...indeed we would have,....most people back then didn't think (or perhaps know) that i was all that great,...it could have been because i was real modest and i rarely spoke up for myself,..i was more into praising other bands like Death & taxe$ and Prop 13,..today i realise how that shit hurt me,...and now i see how badly i needed some support,..and i rarely got any,...there was never anybody at my gigs ,..so i finally gave up,..we quit"
