This film has been in production for ages. There were reports of initial screenings that left children in tears. I want to see that version. I imagine there has been a lot of time spent re-cutting a version that puts most of the painful/ artistic material over kids heads while still delivering the original message to adults.

The movie looks pretty cool! I think kids will enjoy it. I remember reading this book like 16 years ago! Classic!

The trailer just feels like Spike Jones. I love that. Maybe it’s the music they used, but wow, this feels really good. I just hope it is. The creatures look great, but it will all weigh upon expanding upon the story established in this beloved children’s book and making it a worthwhile spending 90 minutes in a theater. I wonder if I still have my copy or if I’m going to have to call my mom to dig it out of storage… Click below to check it out…
