sagool.tv動画詳細 ; Twitter Music 2009. Greenhouse Effect perform live on August 16, 1991 with "Waiting for your love to Fail!" from their 1990 'Immorally Moral' album. Drummer Greg Tarpley powers G.e. here as guitarist Clark Hagins belts out G.e. vocals into the microphone at their most 'ahead of their time' ironic ways that can only be G.e. This gig would mark a coming of a change in rock as about two months after this performance, Nirvana hit it big with 1991's 'Nevermind'....For years, G.e. had spoke of a need to 'change' rock away from glam heavy metal of the Sunset Strip as they purchased advertising in magazines like Flipside and Ben is Dead zine,.....G.e. envisioned a time when 'alternative rock' and 'indie rock' could become the 'commercial music' of the Fm radio dial,...few listened to haggins and his grande ideas ,..that is ,..until 'Seattle rock' came into vogue in 1991,..G.e. never got a chance to ride the coat-tails, ,..were never signed,..and they quickly evaporated in November 1992,..but today on the internet, Greenhouse effect music videos and songs stand as strong testimony to the South Bay vision for tomorrow ,..that was indeed G.e. !!
Twitter; Greenhouse Effect captured during the "1991" phase long after first guitarist Phil Keegan and G.e. went seperate ways. Clark Hagins had then moved from drums up to lead guitar along with his lead vocals - and 'change' was definitely in the air indeed for G.e. as they sported an angry new 'downcast' punk style version of their three piece band. Bizarrely, much G.e. footage exists of this "indie-rock" like incarnation which occured about a year and a half "Before" the Nirvana MTV explosion of October 1991 and early 92'. Bassist Rick Carmody and drummer Greg Tarpley fill out the 'grunge period' of the internet's now most watched and downloaded super-band !!
