News Muse normally gossips on Fridays, but this week I just had to spill the beans as soon as I heard…You may know that Richard Curtis’ The Boat That Rocked is out in the cinema today. But did you know that Curtis is in the process of writing the script for Bridget Jones 3? Yay! That’s very exciting news. But guess what a very reliable mole of mine overheard him saying at last week’s The Boat That Rocked premiere…He said he is pushing for Keira Knightley to play Bridget Jones (gasp!), and Knightley is “very keen”(double-gasp!). Now if this isn’t on the edge of reason, I don’t know what is. To the whole world Renee Zellweger is Bridget Jones and she has even talked about her ideas for a third instalment. Naturally she was the producers’ first choice. But she said no on the grounds that she doesn’t want to pile on the pounds again in fear of her health. And let’s face it, a skinny Bridget Jones would be like a handsome Gordon Brown - impossible to imagine.So now I am rubbing my hands with glee at the thought of wafer-thin Keira Knightley trying to add a stone or two to her gangly frame.
