She’s amazing… (Y)But what has made her more amazing is because we all have been cynical about age, looks and etc. that limits our sight to see such good talent, and that’s why she looks even more stunning once everyone listens to how she sings. Awesome.I dreamed a dream in time gone by When hope was high, And life worth living I dreamed that love would never die I dreamed that God would be forgiving. Then I was young and unafraid When dreams were made and used, And wasted There was no ransom to be paid No song unsung, No wine untasted. But the tigers come at night With their voices soft as thunder As they tear your hopes apart As they turn your dreams to shame. And still I dream he’ll come to me And we will live our lives together But there are dreams that cannot be And there are storms We cannot weather…I had a dream my life would be So different from this hell I’m living So different now from what it seems Now life has killed The dream I dreamed.Posted in 乐之乐 My kind of music Tagged: Britain Got Talent, Susan Boyle

The Oprah Winfrey Show” and so on… If one more person talks to me about that Susan Boyle performance of Les Miserables I am going to puke my balls out through my mouth.”

I said before that Susan Boyle’s performance on Britian’s Got Talent is not totally unique to this show. Every year they seem to find a socially awkward person living in the UK that completely throws for a loop when they sing. Here are the standouts from the last three years. 2007 2008 2009

That headline alone is worth some interest. But this is the video portion of the Wall, and wait until you see it...

Meet Susan Boyle - a frumpy, middle-aged church volunteer who is know a global phenomenon. How? Reality show, how else?!

She waddles onto a stage feeding her face and in dire need of some tweezers hoping to carry a tune. Everyone in attendance for the American Idol-esque show in the UK called "Britian's Got Talent" choked on their soda pop laughing at this frow, including The Celebrity Apprentice's Piers Morgan and the infamous Simon Cowell.

Furthering the laugh riot, Susan offers up a poly-rhythmic and uber-octave song from Les Miserables, "I Dreamed a Dream." Eyes rolled. Stomachs turned. Judges laughed. And there stood Susan - unabashed, unashamed and unfettered by the snickering because she knew something the rest of those dolts in the audience didn't.

Including yours truly.

Uh yeah, about that? God isn't a big fan of judging a book by its illustrious cover, and what comes out of Susan Boyle's mouth makes the world eat a nice, salty serving of crow. Click play and enjoy. Her YouTube broadcast is nearing 30 million.

Maybe now, she can afford those tweezers?

In case you have yet to see this incredible clip from the hit British show, "Britian's Got Talent," in which the most incredible sounds come from a person - a middle aged, single (and, they remind us, a virgin), unemployed woman named Susan Boyle - who, at least according this audience, is the most unlikely of sources.

Quickly becoming one of the most talked about, celebrated people in the world these days, Boyle's performance on the show, in which she knocked out "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables, is drawing passionate praise from critics and fans alike - from Britian to the US and beyond. Heck, her facebook group has well into the hundreds of thousands in just a few days, one Oprah Winfrey has asked for an appearance and Ashton Kutcher even tweeted about her.

The video and the story of phenomenal, beautiful and yes, dare I say, heartwarming. It's great to watch that smug look on Simon Cowell's face turn into a trance-like appreciation for the sheer beauty of the work of art. And work of art this performance is. Boyle nailed the song with a moving, rousing rendition of a song long ago made famous.

Way to go Susan Boyle.

Of course, we all know people like Susan Boyle, don't we? People with great talents but who lack opportunity or resources or who, for whatever unfortunate reason (in Boyle's case, her mother's and her own illnesses) fail to see their grandest dreams come true. In fact, we are all that person, in one way or another.

Very few of us succeed at achieving any of our greatest ambitions, let alone our most extravagant dreams. We have all had to drop something we love to do or wish to do because life got in the way. And of course this is especially true in this economic landscape.

Many bloggers have written about Ms. Boyle and many of them have examined the ways in which she is the perfect kind of success story for us today, a potential iconic figure for a broken people. And yeah, she is. Rags to riches, Seabiscuit, Hoosiers and the like. Throw her in the mix. But Boyle is also an exam
