(Picture - Pete at IHillary)I watch “24″ … and have seen it over the last couple seasons become “softer” and more accommodating to leftist/liberal crap (global warming for one … and “torturing someone who has a stolen nuke pointed at a US city is wrong, but you’d better find out which city and save it fast!”)Loyal fans of the show said, pretty much, the show had jumped the shark a couple seasons back when the writers moved away from “stereotyping” the terrorists as Middle Eastern Arab-types, and “stereotyping” them into nasty white guys backed by big self-interest corporations (Halliburton!) … This season there is a “Black Water” like private military/security group being held up as the domestic terrorists (with some vague outside African assistance) ready to threaten and sacrifice innocent American lives to get what their greedy big fat white guy leaders want from the baffled white female President (whose own family members have nefarious associations and intentions) and her disjointed government.Meanwhile, the only person left in America … and the civilized world, left to trust to do the right thing at his own personal cost is dying from this season’s weapon of choice a bio-weapon exposure. Oh, and the show writers had to toss in an experimental stem cell treatment that might save his life, but he turned it down because he didn’t want his estranged daughter involved.{taking breath}Anyhow, when fans of the show heard Garofalo was to be added to the cast they literally puked. Kind of like letting a ravenous rabid rat into the grain storage. Her part is small, but she’s doing the shifty-eye paranoid government bureaucrat stereotype to the obvious hilt … and not very well.
