The SC Taxpayers Alliance should withdraw this advertisement as it is both factually incorrect and misleading to the public. You are completely wrong in telling people that if money is not used that it will go to another state and we will have to still pay for it. Under this federal legislation, these funds can not be used in any other state except South Carolina. If not used, they will not be spent anywhere. Converse Chellis was also wrong in his similar claim. Further, acceptance of these moneys is not free, since the state will also have to put up matching funds in many projects, thus increasing state spending. These points have been researched repeatedly and unless you can prove other wise, you will be guilty of intentionally misleading the public.

I cannot understand why you are running this ad which is trying to push Mark Sanford into taking this LOAN for our kids and grandkids to pay back.
As I understand it ---it is not a gift. Why not deal with the problem now and not go further into debt???
