Oh! hello! Where did I hear something about something...ah here it is: all our artifacts Enhance, Obsolesce, Retrieve and Reverse. Yes, that was it! I am quite reminded of Mr. McLuhan (of McLuhan & Sons Inc.): what have we done with our new media? Have we not Enhanced connectivity? Obsolesced the hierarchy of broadcasting? Retrieved tribal relationships? And of course, whatever shall these Reverse into when pushed to electric speed, as these things are? Do you see? These predictions are true! (This prophecy is fulfilled today in your hearing!)
Why is it that some people can bring great ideas time and time again? I have no idea why some people can, but I do know Seth Godin is one these rare people. Here is his last talk on Tribes from TED.
After watching, the question is how will you motivate / lead your tribe.
"Seth Godin argues the Internet has ended mass marketing and revived a human social unit from the distant past: tribes. Founded on shared ideas and values, tribes give ordinary people the power to lead and make big change. He urges us to do so."
