Disgraced Justice Minister Shahid Malik has stepped down from his role, pending an investigation into his expenses claims, which amount to more than any other MP.

Despite initially declaring that he had "nothing to apologise for", the Labour MP has left his post after being summoned to a meeting with Gordon Brown.
