Mary the mother of Jesus was from the house of Levi not the house of David. So how can Jesus be from the House of David unless it was because Joseph who was not the father was from the house of David. God was the Father. However David from the Old testament was the king of all the tribes. Do does this make Jesus from the house of David? But not fro direct decentant from the house of Jessie.
