I can't believe they gave Obama the Nobel Peace Prize.

Let's be clear, I am a republican, but I have a few views that are liberal.

Such as abortion. While I don't believe in it for people who frivolously have unsafe sex, I don't think it should be up to the government to tell you you can't have one if you've been raped. From my previous entry you know that I have been raped, by my stepfather. If I were to have been capable of having a child then I know that I would need to have an abortion if I were to have gotten pregnant. It's not even a want, it's need. Can you imagine the emotional stress that child could put me through. Not only that but I'm sure it would have a few issues as well. I don't think that girls that are careless or reckless should be able to have them just because they're too lazy to get birth control. That's just ridiculous.'

Gay marriage is another thing I don't agree with obviously. All the people that are against gay marriage are religious people. Saying it takes away from the sanctity of marriage. First of all, have you ever heard of church and state? Yeah, government isn't supposed to be based on religion. Second of all, who are you to tell people who they can and cannot marry? You can keep the "sanctity of marriage" all you want, just stay out of everyone else's business. Why are you going to fight against something that has absolutely nothing to do with you. Let me tell you, I was baptized Mormon. I obviously don't really practice anymore but that still doesn't change my faith. The Bible is pretty much up for interpretation. Shit, the Bible is an interpretation. Don't tell me you know exactly what God will shun me for. All those people who protest abortion and gay marriage are lunatics in my opinion. To me they seem like they're enslaving themselves to "God" which is bull shit. You don't know what God wants and neither do I. Let him judge me, not you.
