One step that I add as a safety precaution is, if possible, I "take a copy" rather than just "take." This only works, of course, if I have copy perms on all objects (such as my own builds). But in the event of a disaster (or if I lost concentration and did a really poor job of selecting everything), this allows me to go back and just repeat the process to select everything and do it again. After successfully moving, I just go back and delete (or take) the old build.
