I am a Honduran, and I thank you for your informed thoughts about this issue.

The vast majority of Hondurans are proud to support their countries constitution and laws, which were never suspended. The military obeyed congress and the supreme court.

Thank you!

Snider,

I am Honduran. I beg of you to read Article 239 of the Honduran Constitution:
"El ciudadano que haya desempeñado la titularidad del Poder Ejecutivo no podrá ser Presidente o Designado. El que quebrante esta disposición o proponga su reforma, así como aquellos que lo apoyen directa o indirectamente, cesaran de inmediato en el desempeño de sus respectivos cargos, y quedaran inhabilitados por (10) años para el ejercicio de toda función publica." It reads that if you are the president and you even propose to change the length of the TERM then you immediately seize to be the president for a period of 10 years.

Now, you are not suggesting that the president has the right under the constitution to elongate its term?

Snider,
You are a leftist or a moron. I bet you'd love it if the US became like Venenzula, wouldn't you?

Zelaya was illegally trying to pull a Chavez by putting to vote something that's against their constitution. By the way, I do know people from there and I do know what's going on. I have family in neighboring El Salvador where they had a very bloody civil war trying to keep leftist like Chavez from TAKING power.

Commies like you should be locked up for sedition.

You sir are an idiot! Zelaya was holding a "diplomatic" referendum to vote for longer terms. Why the hell cant there be a vote for him to have an additional term? the people will make there decision! What is going on here is REDICULOUS!

If the man was by chance doing anything illegal then he should be impeached by proper procedures not exiled! Not only are these actions childish but they are unjust for the people of honduras.

I COMPLTELY agree with Obama and I think he is making the right decision to take sides with Chavez!

People are not standing by the new Presedent that may be all you see because that is all the military is allowing to air is his suporters!

Are you from Honduras or have anyone you know there? i doubt it! But I am a Canadian and my sister is there in Tegucigalpa now watching everything going on so just beause you can read a few articals and have a small idea of what is going on there you really have NO idea who this situation is effecting!
