what people are saying

Alison Stewart was substituting for Rachel Maddow on Monday where she discussed the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising as well as interviewing Lt. Colonel Fehrenbach who was in attendance at the White House LGBT Event earlier that day. While he sounded confident that Obama is indeed committed to ending DADT, his interview seemed tinged with sadness at the expectation that the administration's actions will not come quickly enough for him to be spared being discharged from the military. It's estimated that his case will take another 5 months to conclude and his discharge to go through.Earlier today, Lt. Dan Choi, lost his battle when a military administrative board recommended he be discharged. He has vowed to appeal.
