And this here's a funny post about it from the terrific Discover magazine website.

http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/2009/07/06/arizona-is-6000-years-old/

The post goes on to point out, of course, that it is precise because of Uranium and the aging of it that we know the earth is not six thousand years old.

This person would be adorable were she not literally occupying a seat of power, as the video clip shows.

For the record, this person was not ELECTED. She was appointed to replace the deceased Jake Flake of District 5 (Snowflake, AZ area - White Mountains) So no one elected her, but she was certainly put in power by someone!!! This is so disturbing on so many levels - I don't even know where to start...

Yes, if you think the world was created only 6000 years ago you're an idiot. I'm not going to be nice about it, you're stupid. Thankfully for you, in America you have the right to be stupid. What does it say though when a stupid person like this gets voted to public office? That the majority of people in her area are also stupid. That's one of the flaws of Democracy, it depends on an intelligent society. Too bad America is full of dumb people that think like she does.

Transcript:I can’t say enough how it’s time that we get beyond and start focusing on this technology we have and move forward into the future so that

From Indecision…Hey, Arizona! Fantastic job electing Sylvia Allen to your state senate. This is a person who really knows how to use logic and understanding of facty things and a decent enough substitute for science to really make things happen.Like, take for example, this except from a state senate session when she throws a logic [...]
