Loved Pat's comparison of the predominantly black field and track teams and the predominantly white Supreme Court--the man wouldn't recognize a false analogy if it hit him over the head. The Court's business is to interpret the law and protect the rights of all citizens. The track team's job is to win races and represent the USA. A lost foot race, while disappointing, cannot be compared to lost civil rights, negatively affecting the quality of life.

Would love to hear Pat Buchanan's rationale for the choice of G.W. Bush as president of the USA based on his criteria for selecting the best & the brightest for key positions in USgovernment. Hypocrisy combined with real ignorance is frightening. Can't believe this guy was accepted at Georgetown. Can't believe he gets paid to bloviate on MSNBC.

I am an old (mostly) white male. I totally understand the goals of affirmative action, which Pat Buchanan does not. I do not need and do not want him or anyone else sniveling about how abused white men are. Pat, man up !

So, affirmative action is "evil", but centuries of blatant white male privilege can be defended? Georgetown Pat Buchanan is standing up for the working class? Baloney.
This country was founded not only by privileged white men, but on the backs and by the blood of native people whose lands were stolen, exploited African slaves and Chinese laborers worked to death, and millions of women who were forced to sacrifice their own lives and aspirations for the males in their lives. Buchanan, like so many other Republican-conservatives, remains willfully and disingenuously ignorant of the full history of our nation so he can persist in presenting his White Man's U.S. History for Dummies. We won't buy it any more.

Oh, Pat, better stand "pat" for those beleaguered white guys. God knows we wouldn't want anything breaking up the status quo in this country. Everything is going so well with the good ol' boys at the helm. Gag me.

Pat said when asked about minoritie high grades to get in college, he said grades were not important and even said the top students were not necessarily qualified because they got high grades. I ask this racist, how are the whites high schoolers qualified to get in college.What standard is used to qualify the white students if not their grades?

It's remarkable how someone can lose they're head in another part of their anatomy so far as to not be able to hear another's view. Pat, the 50's are calling and want their bigotry back.
