Honest to goodness, what I can't get over is the hurt---the utter pain and anguish---in the voice of every white man in a pinstripe suit who I hear making such silly statements. How dare he, how dare anyone, disparage the white race!

The president of course, is not a racist. Nor does he seem to have any problem with "white culture." Hell, he made his bones in white culture, Harvard, Columbia, the Illinois statehouse, the US Senate, the White House. C'mon already.

As a lefty, I have some real problems with Obama policy-wise, but I do feel the need to defend him from this racist/birther/right wing paranoia stuff. Obama, a racist: give me a break. His freakin' mother was a white woman, no? And the grandparents who raised him the rest of the way? Gee whiz.
