Sibel Edmonds was fired from the FBI because she, as a translator with a security clearance, was privy to information indicting State Department officials. Her superiors did everything to stall and hinder language translators for the sole reason that they wanted to cover for internal corruption in various governmental agencies. Edmonds wrote official complaints to her superiors about her translation problems in the agency, as well as testifying before congress about the corruption she knew of. She testified before the 9/11 Commission as well, because some of her information revealed inside knowledge about the terrorist attacks. She's been gagged from speaking in this country, but in January of 2008 she spoke to the London Times.
