One concernis tort reform. If a family memeber has suffered medical malpractice unless you have a lot of money no lawyerwill take your case, it costs about 20,000 to 100,000 dollars to have a physician review your case. Doctors are reluctant to sayanother ohysician commotted an error. Seniors are seriously at risk because there is very little compensation for seniors. Seniors are being denied care that coulld help them "due to their age". Most doctors are good but the bad ones do serious harm. A senior went to a doctor with a painful boil, was told to take tylenol she ended up in critical care for weeks a convalescent hospital and died. A seniorwent to the doctor with a urinary tract infection and ended up in behavioral medicine because of the mental alteration tht occurred from an untreated urinary tract infection. A senior went to the doctor with chest pain, the doctor asked the family what they wanted her to do, they told her the patient fainted on the lawn, the doctor said she was taking a nap. The family persisted so a cardiac cath was ordered, She died the day before the cardiac cath. Bad doctors should be held accountable for malpractice.
