This is an experimental film in which I explore the rhythms and sounds created when splitting wood. One of my goals for this piece is to lure people into seeing mundane, physical tasks, such as splitting wood, in a new way. After spending hours splitting wood for my new stove, I began to see myself as just another machine in a world of machines...chopping, grinding, cleaning, moving.
