Just want to point out that the 1st post going line by line through the bill is a load of BS. If you take to the time to follow it and go through its points you will find almost all of it is completely exagerated or not true at all. My favorite is the page 95 one saying ACORN and Americorps will be signing people up. It doesn't say this anywhere in the bill. What a load of crap. Go it through it yourself and you will laugh. Apparently the "Average middle class American" who posted the list of items in the reform act - and who encouraged us to read it - did not actually do so themselves. What they did was cut and paste in a list created by a guy named Peter Fleckenstein that has been posted on boards across the Net. Mr. Fleckenstein was wrong - totally or partially - about each point. However, his lies are being swallowed as the Gospel by those foolish enough to not realize when they are being used by the corporations paying over $1.4 million a day to defeat healthcare reform and preserve their own obscene profits. Guess what angry mobs? If the reform doesn't pass, you are stuck with the same shitty health insurance the rest of us have - one that costs more every year and gives us less in return.

To the "Average Middle Class American" who posted on August 11th, I suggest you turn of the talk radio, Fox News, Glenn Beck or whatever, take your own advice and do some reading. You will be a better informed citizen who is capable of making an informed decision based on facts instead of corporate propagated lies. Then again, if you are comfortable doing things your way...be my guest. Honestly!

Do you really believe the government cares about your healthcare? Just the same way they care about our financial concerns? You really have to be duped, to believing Rachel Maddow is so eloquently educated on the subject. Smooth talking can get you anywhere these days, if it can get you the Presidency, why not a comfy job at msnbc? My suggestion is, we do our own homework and research to make the ultimate decision on who's right and who's wrong regarding Healthcare reform. However, as long as this is America, we have the right to agree or disagree especially when it affects us personally. All Rachel Maddow is keenly aware of, is how the game is played. Now just because someone does not agree with her stance, it's a crme to be wealthy, educated and or positioned? Comon' now, Rachel, you may know how the game is played, but so do we!

Americans seem to be as "brainwashed" as Communist Russians used to be during the cold war -- only the indoctrination is in support of profit-making no matter what it's impact on their quality of life. From here it looks like they actually believe that allowing for-profit insurance companies to make decisions about their health care is better than having their elected government do it. Unbelievable. I'm glad I live in Canada.

Good morning. What an insane week. These protests at Town Hall meetings are just bizarre. The anger and vitriol are so over the top. And, in every video I've seen, many of the people are older, meaning they're probably in Medicare -- a government run program. I'd love to know what health insurance these protesters all have, because they all love it so much that they're willing to literally fight for it. What kind of health insurance inspires that kind of loyalty. Clearly, none of them have any pre-existing conditions or chronic problems at putting them at risk of hitting their caps. None could work for themselves. They must all have very good jobs with excellent benefits, like Congress has. They must have the only responsive insurers who never deny claims. Because if those protesters are that obsessed with keeping health care the way it is, they've got insurance the rest of us should get. It's either that or they just really hate Obama and anything he does. That would also explain the anger and vitriol.
