Shaman wants to control. Preferably from one place. Shaman is more interested in ritual than work. Trickster wants to make trouble.

I want to make art that makes trouble and in lieu of that I will take simply making a place where people who make art that is trouble can work.

What offends me to my core is ritual.

I got so tired of being preached at in one Methodist church in Mason, Michigan, I got up from the pew I was sitting in, walked to the front of the sanctuary, and ripped out the preacher's microphone's plug from the wall. Get them where they live. What is a preacher without his microphone. They're still talking about that one.

I didn't wait to be told to leave the church or else. I got out of Dodge on my own.

Trickster likes leaving Dodge before they hang him by his balls. I used to regularly fuck a catholic priest, one of my better paying customers, and every time I shoved my dick into his ass -- hard -- he'd scream: "Promise not to tell! Promise not to tell! Promise not to tell!"

Oh, for Christ's sake, I promise not to tell. The whole town can hear you scream, bitch.

The screaming -- promise not to tell -- was literally a sexual ritual. The priest getting fucked in the ass was a shaman. Getting out of Dodge is not what they do. In fact, they build monuments to Dodge, and what they trust in is the eternal stupidity of the people.

Shamans focus on liabilities. Trickster wants to turn those liabilities into assets. I wish I had a dime for every alter boy I know who eventually used his sexuality to become a whore.

Shamans want to manipulate entire congregations and tribes. Shamans want whole stables of alter boys. Trickster writes entire books for two alter boys from Peoria. Trickster isn't really all that interested in appearing as himself on NPR.

What I didn't predict was how one person at a time it was going to be.
