I am astonished by the remarks made about Obama's illness - esp the bit that he is now entering a three-year depressive phase after a three-year manic phase - I don't think it works this way. The remarks add to the stigma of mental illness, which is already huge enough, and esp the manner in which the issue of mental illness is addressed. An illness is an illness, just like any other. BTW, Churchhill was bi-polar as were former US presidents.
