I am not an expert but I often find myself in your position (they normally occur when SL releases a new viewer like they did a couple of weeks ago) and these things have helped. first try re-installing SL or even try a new viewer called Emerald (just google it) clear all your cache and not just the one in the pref tab try logging into a quiet sim ie one that dosent have large amounts of people going there it may help if you log on at a quieter time. Make sure your internet connection is running right (like dont use wireless) make sure there are NO firewall settings affecting your PC lastly just wait I think SL know there are bugs but havent fixed them all until they get enough feed back from users...........PS: Just relax it normally sorts itself out eventually
I was wondering is there an easier way to organize your inventory. I have difficulty dragging and dropping into folders. I think instead we should be able to right-click and send an object to a particular folder. Would like to have comments.

I agree, there should be an easy "move to" for organizing inventory. I have new folders, but can't find them after I create them. Then I wind of with 50gazillion new folders, but can't drag and drop things into them easily. I'd like to be able to drag and drop the componants of an outfit I'm wearing into a folder so that I can easily don the entire outfit again when needed. Any tips are appreciated. :>
We have a Tips & Tricks blog @ http://secondlife.com/tnt where I make a post for each video with more information, so please come and visit and feel free to chat, we check comments more frequently there!
Its great that there is a feature video that showcases Second Life (beginning is visible at 0:33), it looks amazing, the way avatars walk, that they change clothing in a poof of fairy dust, that they can kiss, eat and go racing with amazing precision and speed, the problem is that none of this is available to you in Second Life, until you buy it yourself.
For instance the infamous duckwalk that every noobie avatar have, that looks so unprofessional is what any new user gets, and no wonder that they are disappointed. Linden Lab are not famous for being professional, and the new website is another nail in the coffin since its rather obvious to anyone reading user-input that over 70% of Second Life residents dispise the new website, meaning that Linden Lab did 0 user testing before launching the site, and now have to try to lick their wounds from yet another stupid mistake, that is of course an addition to the all so popular copybot friendly approach that people are allowed to steal others creators content, the blatant rip-off with homestead sims, not to mention the downfall of SLX. Go on, promote a web 2.0 website with absolutely no navigational features and see how long it takes before even the CEO gets lost trying to find a discoteque in-world.
There are over 16 million registed users (counting bots of course because its better for statistics) but only 45-60,000 are online on a daily basis, the rest are reduntant remains of a peaked spike and wishful thinking of hopes for a glorious empire that was "your world, your imagination", today its "your world, our money". The Zen of Linden Lab has gone out the window

Interesting viewpoint.
I"ve been inworld three months and have been all over the place, done a lot, and opened a business. Meeting people and making friends. Almost got SLarried. lol Rented, then bought a house.
I'm having a blast!
And I treat it much the way I do real life. You see, in real life, I have to purchase things to make me comfortable. To make me look good.
In SL, I do the same thing. Think it through - if Linden Labs gave you everything you want for free, how would they pay for the servers and equipment that run the grid? Not to mention paying the staff. (They aren't volunteers)
In RL, do you live off the land for free? Did you pay for everything you have? Are you complaining about that fact? Do you feel everyone should give you everything for free?
This is a wonderful virtual world where anything is possible. I think it's well worth whatever money I put into . And I'm making money in return. You might try learning a skill and offering your goods or services. Earn the money back.
