Every soldier in the military represents government and corporate interest and NOTHING to do with protecting our freedoms or they would be here defending us against this coup government destroying our freedoms. Wars, rather invasions and occupations serve monetary interest. The herd, as we are all referred to by the elitist class, buy the same illusion of freedom, democracy, liberty and protection every time when it is this government destroying the aforementioned. The U.S. is an elitist dictatorship so do not be deluded by the fact one can vote as though that defines democracy. We need to use the military to take back our government, not take over others in a foreign land. Cindy is on the right path and I feel she realizes now that voting is a joke and we have no representation in this dictatorial government.

Ms. Sheehan says that each persons life, no matter where they are from, is worth the same. I agree with that but also believe that some people have a higher moral obligation to protect the lives of others - even if it ultimately costs them their own life. Ms. Sheehan just can't seem to take her argument one-step beyond her obligation to protect her son. The American people have the means to protect others who need our help and when it is reasonable to do so we need to act. War never generates the perfect result -- with all the good people being okay and all the bad people being eliminated. That does not lessen our moral obligation to take action. It certainly does not lessen the pain suffered by Ms. Sheehan and millions of others who have lost loved ones as a result. However, if the anti-war group would step back for a minute and put the entire issue in perspective, perhaps they could take their argument one step further and allow them develop a message more in line with the majority.
